    Hello I booked a last minute trip and will arrive on the 21 of august and stay the week we are bringing our 1 year old for the first time and would love to do at least on character meal do I stand a chance of getting a reservation anywhere at this point? I

    Hello, Marc!  Welcome to the Moms Panel!

    My family and I also booked a "last minute" trip this summer and I just knew that capturing a character dining reservation would be next to impossible.  However, I am happy to say that we were able experience character dining once we were inside the parks.  My recommendation is to continue calling (407)939-DINE up until the 21st. Many people are generous in the fact that if they are aware that they will not be able to make a reservation, they will cancel it ahead of time.  I know this is time consuming, but it is well worth it.  Now once you are in the parks and find yourself standing in lines, and there will be plenty of lines, give dining a call and ask for any character dining reservations that are available.  This always worked for me.  I can tell you that the one place I could always just pop-in and secure a spot was The Crystal Palace which is located inside Disney's Magic Kingdom.  Winnie-the-Pooh & the Gang will visit your table as you dine on a buffet style meal.  Please do not give up.  They key is to keep calling!
