    I have booked the kids a 3hr stay at a kidsclub at the Polynesian on a Sunday from 7-10. My husband and I are celebrating our 20th wed ann. and would like some grown up time. What would you suggest? I was thinking bar/music hopping. whats best BW or DTn

    Dana,

    We are doing the same thing in October, and now make a date night a part of our annual trip. It is a great way to make it a fun vacation for everyone in the family.

    If I were in your shoes, this is what I would do;

    1. After you drop your kids off at the club, go to the Tambu Lounge in the Polynesian resort lobby. Start your evening off with a Mai Tai in a wonderfully exotic tropical setting. Walter, one of the bartenders there, is one of the best on property, so ask for him!
    2. While my wife and I would normally go to a signature restaurant for dinner, I think you have a more lively time in mind. Good for you! I would opt for Downtown Disney over the BoardWalk, starting at Raglan Road. Grab a pint and enjoy the house band.
    3. If that doesn't fit the bill, you know are ideally located to bounce to several alternative options. Paradiso 37 often has live music, and of course there is the House of Blues. For the latter you should be able to see online who is playing before you arrive, but you can call both to ask.
    4. Regardless of what you have chosen, your next move might be to hop on a romantic boat ride from Downtown Disney to the Port Orleans Riverside. Go there to take in Yee Haw Bob at the River Roost Lounge. He is a great show, lots of fun, and a Disney legend, to be sure!

    Now I don't know if this meets with what you had in mind. If you want to ask some follow-up questions, please send me a line and we can plan further!

    Have a magical vacation!
