Hi Moms! I just booked a July 2012 vacation for my 5 year old and I. We are staying on property. It's been years since I was in the resort in July and remember it being really hot and humid. any suggestions on what to pack for a day in the park?

    Hi Maggie!

Indeed July weather in Orlando can be hot and humid. Temperatures are usually in the 90's. July is also one of the rainiest months, so you can expect a daily passing thunderstorm in the afternoon too. Now as to what to pack I recommend bringing plenty of cool clothing. Lightweight clothes that dry easily and wick moisture away from the skin are ideal since humid weather often increases perspiration. Bring plenty of sunscreen, a hat, shorts, short sleeved tops, very comfortable shoes such as flip-flops, bathing suit, a poncho, and/or a small umbrella. Please let me know if I can answer any other Disney Vacation planning questions for you.

Enjoy a most magical visit to the Walt Disney World Resort!
