    Just booked July 25-Aug 2, 2014. Always visited in off seasons, now have to plan around sports and band :) Are EMH increased in the summer? Any magical advice will be greatly appreciated on how to plan this trip!! Thanks!! Love this panel!!

    Ah, the joys of our kids getting older!  I know that with school, cheerleading, and baseball, my kids keep quite the full schedules that we have to work around.  It is quite a challenge.

    You will find that the park hours are much longer in the summer.  You will see that on some evenings, Magic Kingdom is open past midnight!  Yep, it wears me out!   We usually start our days early when the crowds are small, take a nice mid-day break then head back in the evenings when it is cooler and less crowded than the afternoons.  When you get to about 6 months from you vacation, you will be able to check the calendars to see the parks' hours to plan ahead. 

    Although the parks will be more crowded than you are used to during off-season, the long hours will make up for it so you will fit in plenty of magic in Walt Disney World.  Wishing you and your family a great school year and have fun counting down to your summer vacation!

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home.
