    Hi there, Effi!

While it's so exciting to be in the planning stages of a Disney trip, you don't want to find yourself so overwhelmed with research that you lose sight of the fact that this is your incredible vacation. That said, TouringPlans.com is an incredible resource that I highly recommend (and use myself for every visit!).

The restaurant situation in Magic Kingdom is such that you can have a sit-down meal (Table Service) or counter service (quick takeaway). There is one character dining experience in that Park: Crystal Palace, featuring Winnie-the-Pooh and friends. But the counter service options - including Tortuga Tavern Pecos Bill's Tall Tale Cafe, and Cosmic Ray's - offer enough value for grownups and children that if you opted for one, you wouldn't be disappointed.

Your Magic Your Way ticket will allow you multiple entrances and exits from the Magic Kingdom on your travel day. You might consider taking a break from the hustle and bustle of the Kingdom for lunch at one of the Resorts on the monorail line. Chef Mickey's - a buffet starring Mickey Mouse and friends - is a great way to spend time with your son, classic characters, and dine in air-conditioned comfort.

If you'd like, drop me a line with some of your son's favorite foods and/or characters, and I'll be glad to provide some more personalized recommendations for you!

    See you later, celebrator,
