Julia from ON Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

We are booked January 10th through to 13th (a Tuesday through Friday night) for our park days. It's our first time at Disneyland. From what I'm now reading about weeknights in Jan, we will have no fireworks, fantasmic or world of colour at all?

    Hi, there!

Welcome to planDisney, Julia. I'm so happy you stopped by and even happier to hear you'll be traveling to the Disneyland Resort this January! What a magical way to kick off the new year.

As a big fan of nighttime spectaculars, I understand your concern. While the beginning of January is considered by many to be the "off season" at the Disneyland Resort, you can still expect to have lots of magical experiences in the theme parks. Some entertainment offerings may be limited to account for the lighter crowds, but I wouldn't expect to see anything listed on the schedule until about 6-weeks ahead of time. I recommend keeping an eye on the Hours & Events Calendar on the Disneyland Resort website. The sooner you are to your arrival date, you'll see updated theme park hours and showtimes. I also encourage you to keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog. It's your best resource for news and updates about Disney Parks and destinations! When new experiences and offerings are available at the Disneyland Resort, you'll see that information posted on the Disney Parks Blog.

As you're preparing for your visit, check out the planDisney website. We've recently added podcasts to our Video Library that you don't want to miss! I suggest taking some time to watch planDisney Podcast Episode 2 - All Things Disneyland Resort and planDisney Podcast Episode 8 - Technology. These podcasts have loads of tips and information for your upcoming Disney vacation!

I hope this was helpful, Julia. Please let us know if you have any other questions about your visit to "The Happiest Place on Earth!" We'd love to help you plan a magical stay.
