I just booked for 1/31-2/6 and now I'm worried about the short notice. CRT is booked for B & L. Is dinner worth it or would Akershus be better? DD is 2. We'll have to go to Chef Mickey's early in the week w/o much character warm up. Is B or D better? T

Hi Yvette!  In my opinion the princess experience at Akershus is the best on property as you will see many more princess characters then anywhere else.  However, many guests want to at least say that they have eaten once in Cinderella's castle and make that a priority.  If that isn't important for your family then head to Akershus for dinner.

I wouldn't worry too much about doing Chef Mickey early in your vacation. In fact I often try to get a character experience early to set the tone for the trip. Chef Mickey is a great place to see many of the major characters in one place and the food is a very good buffet.  I have eaten there for both breakfast and dinner and really don't have a preference to either.  I would suggest you simply make a reservation for the time that best fits where you want to be on that day. If you are heading to the Magic Kingdom you can start your day with an early breakfast or end your day with a relaxing dinner.  You can actually walk between the Contemporary and the Magic Kingdom in just about 8 minutes so it is very convenient to that park.
