Hi there, Kesha! Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney. It looks like you are the family vacation planner, even if you're not traveling yourself--I know how that is! I'm happy to help explain how to handle booking for attractions and shows, as well as transportation to help navigate
Walt Disney World Resort. Let's get right to it!
When your favorite guys visit
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park next week, they can use the
Lightning Lane system to book certain attractions in advance. You are now in the booking window, as Guests of Walt Disney World Resort Hotels can purchase Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Single Pass beginning 7 days before their arrival.
For Animal Kingdom, you can book up to three Lightning Lanes in advance with the Multi Pass. The
available attractions for Multi Pass include
Expedition Everest - Legend of the Forbidden Mountain,
Kilimanjaro Safaris, and many other choices. You can also use the selections for my two favorite live shows at Walt Disney World--
Festival of the Lion King, and
Finding Nemo: The Big Blue...and Beyond!
Lightning Lane Single Pass can be purchased for
Avatar Flight of Passage, which is an extremely popular attraction that can have long standby wait times. We usually plan to get to Animal Kingdom early so we can experience this family favorite before the lines get longer as the day goes on. As Guests of the
Walt Disney World Swan Reserve, your husband and son can take advantage of
Early Theme Park Entry. This is a great benefit of staying on property, as Guests of the Walt Disney World Resort Hotels can access the parks 30 minutes before they open to those staying offsite!
Kesha, there are complimentary buses from the Swan Reserve to the theme parks that run approximately every 25-30 minutes. Your family members should plan to be at the bus stop in plenty of time to start their day at Animal Kingdom! They can also use rideshare, which will pick them up at the hotel and drop them at a designated area.
The Swan Reserve is also just a short walk from
EPCOT,
Disney's Hollywood Studios, Disney's Boardwalk (restaurants and shopping), and
Fantasia Gardens and Fairways Miniature Golf--so there will be plenty for them to do during their trip!
I hope this information is helpful, Kesha! I am sure your husband and son will have a really special father-son day, thanks to your planning prowess. Thanks again for visiting planDisney, and please stop by anytime if we can help with other questions to add a little extra pixie dust to your travels.
See Ya Real Soon!
