We were booked 5-2020, now 5-2021. My husband is hesitant to go 2021 and wants 2022 to let everything "settle down" even more. But Tix, Memory Maker & Hotel is paid for the 2021 trip. How would I handle it IF we push back to 2022.

    Howdy Katherine!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!  Thank you for sharing your question with us!

The reopening of the Walt Disney World Resort has been an exciting time!  The Walt Disney World Resort does look different these days.  We do not know when the precautions that have been put into place will be lifted.  If you decide that you want to change your current dates in 2021, you would need to modify your reservation 30 days before check-in.  When a vacation package is modified, guest services will take the amount that you have paid on your current booking and apply that amount to a new reservation.  If there is a price difference, then you would need to pay the remainder 30 days before your check-in date.

2021 will be an EPIC year at the Walt Disney World Resort.  If you decide to move your reservation further into the year, then you will be able to enjoy the festivities that 2021 will bring.  The Walt Disney World Resort opened its doors in 1971, so 2021 will mark 50 years of “Making Dreams Come True!”  I am so excited to find out what Mickey and Minnie have planned for their 50th celebration!

The Magic Kingdom Park will be home to an exciting new adventure!  TRON will be an attraction like no other!  This lightcycle coaster-style ride will bring guests through the digital frontier with excitement around every bend!  I am so excited to board my lightcycle and take off!

To stay informed of everything that 2021 will bring, check out the Disney Parks Blog!  Also, if you have any more questions, please come back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!  We look forward to helping you with any further questions!  Happy planning, Katherine!
