Hi Joan,
Thank you so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. I am glad to hear that you will be celebrating both a birthday and a honeymoon at Walt Disney World! It is truly a magical place to spend any celebration. Although there are not any listed free perks for celebrating a birthday or honeymoon at Walt Disney World, let me offer you some thoughts on no-cost fun activities at Walt Disney World.
First, do be sure to pick up celebration buttons. These are available free of charge at guest relations and many other locations around Walt Disney World. You can pick up "happy birthday" buttons and "happily ever after" buttons. There is no extra magic guaranteed when you wear these buttons, but you never know when a little extra pixie dust might be sprinkled on your vacation. Once, when wearing a "happy birthday" button, my daughter received a huge cupcake as a surprise after lunch at The Plaza Restaurant in Magic Kingdom. Her eyes were so sparkly as they delivered it!
A great place to explore is
Disney's BoardWalk. There is no charge to explore here, and at night it is beautiful and there are often outdoor entertainers such as jugglers. You can take a stroll around Crescent Lake, and even ride the Friendship Boats, which connect Epcot to Disney's Hollywood Studios and resorts in between. Even if you do not have a destination in mind, this can be relaxing and pleasant.
You may also consider a trip to the newly re-imagined
Disney Springs. While this area does feature a lot of shopping, you can always window shop! This area again requires no entrance fee, and at night there is often free entertainment such as singers outside. When I was there recently, a rolling piano and singer went past me!
I hope that these thoughts are helpful for you, Joan!
