I booked a hotel package including park tickets. Do I have to link the park tickets to my account to be able to go straight to the park entrance and swipe my magic band for entry?

Hello there! Welcome to planDisney! We’re so glad you’re here!

Three chEARS to you for booking your Walt Disney World Resort vacation! You’re on your way to the vacation of a lifetime! Did you know that if you arrive any time before March 31st, 2023, you’ll get to join in the fun of Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary Celebration? Be sure to keep an eye out for the golden sculptures of your favorite Characters located all around the parks as a part of the Disney Fab 50 Character Collection. Then, for a fun little game as you walk around, have your group keep track and see who can be the first to stop all 50 characters! There is nothing quite like a little friendly competition, so I say the winner gets a DOLE Whip!

Now, on to your question, Tina! You will definitely want to have your theme park tickets linked to your My Disney Experience account ahead of your visit. If you booked your vacation online, you might already have it all linked up! So, let’s check that first by following the steps below:

    • Log into your My Disney Experience app.
    • Click on the three stacked lines in the bottom right corn to open the menu.
    • Select “Tickets and Passes”
    • If your tickets are linked to your account, you will see them on this page.

If you don’t see them there, worry not! Just follow the steps below to link your plans to your My Disney Experience account:

    • Locate the email confirmation you received when you booked your Walt Disney World Vacation and make a note of the reservation confirmation number on the email.
    • Open your My Disney Experience app and navigate to "Tickets and Passes."
    • Click on "Link Tickets & Passes" and "Room with Tickets."
    • Fill in your confirmation number and the last name on your reservation, and you are all set!

The final step would be to make sure your MagicBands are linked to your account as well. Here is how to do that:

    • Log into your My Disney Experience app.
    • Click on the three horizontal stacked lines in the bottom right corner.
    • Select “My Profile” and “MagicBands & Cards.”
    • Click on “Link a MagicBand or Card.”
    • Grab your MagicBand and locate the 12-digit ID Number on the back of the band.
    • Enter the ID code into the app, hit submit, and follow the prompts to link the MagicBand to the appropriate member of your Friends and Family List.

Then, just like that, you are all set and ready to enter the parks on your fabulous vacation! Just like magic, right?!

I hope you and your family have a magical time on your vacation. We just love answering questions for fabulous fellow Guests like you, so feel free to visit us again if you have any other questions.

    Bye for now!
