Hi Brian,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us a question!
Although Guests who’ve purchased a
Disney Dining Plan don’t normally have to prepay for Dinner Shows such as the
Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue, the system can sometimes forget and take a pre-payment anyway.
You have two options in this situation but, provided you’ve booked category 2 or 3 seating for the 4:00 p.m. or 6:15 p.m. shows or any category for the 8:30 p.m. show, you should be entitled to a full refund. Your first option would be to attend the show, let your server know that you’ll be paying for your meal with your Disney Dining Plan entitlements and then the pre-paid amount will be refunded to the credit card that you used to book this Dinner Show. Be sure to have the same credit card that you used to book your dining reservation with you, or else you may only be able to get the amount of your refund put onto a Disney Gift Card.
Your other option is to contact Walt Disney World Resort at (407) WDW-DINE, or (407) 939-3463. They will then make sure that your Disney Dining Plan is linked to this reservation so that you will not be required to prepay for the meal. You will still need to provide them with a credit card number in order to guarantee your reservation.
I hope my answer helps you plan your upcoming visit. Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions!
Have a Magical Day,
Lynne
