Ahoy, Aira! Welcome to planDisney and thanks for bringing us your Disney Cruise Line question about ground transportation for your upcoming sailing.
It appears that you will be setting sail on the 9-Night Mediterranean with Greek Isles Cruise from Civitavecchia (Rome) aboard the
Disney Dream on June 8-17, 2026. As you know Disney Cruise Line offers
ground transfers between the Leonardo da Vinci Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO) and the
Port of Civitavecchia on both embarkation and debarkation days for an additional fee. When booking airport transfers, you usually provide your flight details to help the staff know when to expect guest arrivals. However, if you are flying in the day before and going back to the airport for embarkation day transportation, I would suggest contacting Disney Cruise Line a few days prior to your sailing to confirm your travel plans and planned departure time.
At the Leonardo da Vinci Rome Fiumicino Airport, Disney Cruise Line representatives meet you after you have gone through immigration and collected your luggage. Look for the Disney Cruise Line logo outside Custom Control by exit door #2 and a representative will direct you to your designated transportation. The exact form of transportation varies depending on your arrival time and party size, which is why notifying them of your travel plans is important. For cruises departing from the Port of Civitavecchia, Disney Cruise Line recommends that guests arrive no later than 12:00pm at the Leonardo da Vinci Rome Fiumicino Airport, but earlier would be better. Keep in mind that the travel time between the airport and the port is approximately one hour, but may be impacted by traffic.
You should receive details from Disney Cruise Line about your ground transportation in the days prior to sailing, but I recommend calling them directly given your specific flight plans are for the day prior to embarkation. You can call Disney Cruise Line directly at (800) 951-3532, where cast members are available to assist you Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM EST, and Saturday and Sunday, 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM EST.
I hope you have the best time on your Mediterranean cruise and enjoy exploring the Disney Dream. If you have any other last minute questions, we are always here to help at planDisney. Happy sailing!
