Just booked ground transfer for port to resort (staying at contemporary) after our cruise. Told there is only 1 bus and will not pickup/leave until 11:30-12:30. Don't want to waste half day waiting for bus. Suggestions? Other transportation options?

    Welcome aboard, Kimberly!

Taking the Disney Cruise Line ground transportation is the most convenient way of getting to and from the Port to your Disney Resort. My family and I always take advantage of this service, as we are whisked to and from Port Canaveral to link our land and sea vacations. The magic will feel like it never ends...

There are multiple Disney motor coaches that normally service Port Canaveral and bring guests over to Disney's Contemporary Resort or other Disney resorts. On our trip last summer, we did just that! Once you disembark, you'll need to exit the port with your luggage, and head over to the ground transportation boarding area (towards the left side once you exit the port). One of the Cast Members will direct you to the next bus that is leaving for the Disney Resorts. There may be more than 1, so make sure that you tell them that you are going to the Contemporary. You can load that bus, and your luggage will be loaded on the bottom trunk space of the motor coach. I do remember that there were 3 different resort stops on the same route. So, sometimes - there might be a little wait before it's your turn to be dropped off at your resort.

If you happen to disembark early that morning, just head straight to the motorcoach area, and they'll be sure to get you setup for your motorcoach. There is some waiting just to fill the bus, usually, but that is usually no longer than 15-20 minutes. I hope this helps out with your planning, Kimberly!  Please do let us know if you have any additional questions that we can help with.

    Have a great day!
