Ahoy Sharon!
Welcome back aboard the good ship planDisney. I may want to stowaway in your luggage because the Mediterranean/Greek Isles cruise is definitely on my bucket list!
Even though I have the ability to make my own cruise arrangements, I prefer to have my travel agent handle the booking for me. It’s not any more expensive for her to take care of it than if I did it myself, and besides, it’s also helping support her and her family!
As far as whether you should have your agent also handle your flights and any pre-or post-cruise hotel stays, that is really up to you. I will say that when we had a Mediterranean cruise booked for 2020, we did opt to make our flight arrangements using the Disney Cruise Line Air Program, and we got a better rate than if I had booked my flights separately (because I checked). Added bonus: the reservation itself is directly with Disney Cruise Line and not the individual airline, and it worked out way better for us on the refund when that voyage was cancelled. (Not that we expect that to happen, but it’s nice to know how all that works going in).
Those cruise packages you are asking about are indeed
Adventures by Disney offerings. Called Escape packages, these multi-day tours allow Guests the time to dive deeper into the port city either before or after their Disney Cruise Line voyage. Having just returned from
Barcelona days ago and also having visited
Rome, I can say that either city would be worthy of one of these amazing cruise packages with Adventures by Disney. I mention both because I am not sure which
Mediterranean with Greek Isles itinerary you will be sailing in Summer 2022, so I figured I better include both links for you!
Alright Sharon, that’s a lot of information to process. But if you have more questions, I’d be more than happy to talk about Greece and Disney Cruise Line with you again. Have a MAGICal voyage!
