    I am booked for a grandgathering for my son's 4th bday to WDW. We are going 1/8-1/13 & was wondering what would be the proper attire to wear in FL during this time. We are traveling w/5 children & we want to make sure that they are dressed approp.

    How exciting!!!  Weather can be a bit tricky in January.  I moved from Pennsylvania to Georgia, and found what Georgian's thought to be freezing was my definition of flip flop weather.  This can also be true in Florida.  I would recommend a little of everything.  January in Pennsylvania is winter coat weather, so you will have a jacket anyway.  I would recommend a parka, sweatshirt, long sleeves, or a sweater for evenings and early mornings.  I will say the weather the last two years in the winter has not been typical.  It's actually been colder, but then I have adjusted.  I would also recommend bringing rain ponchos in the event of an afternoon rain.  It happens frequently in Florida.  There are washers/dryers located on the resort property that can be used to wash clothes if needed.  I have five children as well, and I am told I over plan, and I always bring to much.  I would check the 10 day weather forecast the week before you depart from home.  I always search on the internet for the local NBC, ABC, or CBS News channel in Orlando to look up the local weather.  I hope you son has the most amazing birthday!!!  Heather M.
