Hello! I have just booked a Grand Gathering vacation for 22 family members in August of 2011. I realize that advance dining reservations are highly recommended, however, I am overwhelmed by the options and am looking for some advice to get started?

    Hi Holly!

With 22 in your party, I would say that dining reservations would be necessary to help your dining experiences go more smoothly.

I'd start off by gathering information and putting it down in one spot.  For example:  Uncle John doesn't like seafood, Aunt Jane is allergic to pineapple, cousin Chris is allergic to peanuts, your sister-in-law Marie is  vegan, baby Ella needs a high chair, etc.  ALL of these things (especially food allergies--they'll need to be noted in the reservations) will come in handy when it comes time to book.

Another thing you'll need to decide is if the entire party will be eating each Table Service meal at the same location, or if some might break into smaller groups and venture off to a different restaurant.

Sit down and look through the Walt Disney World restaurants.  You can sort by cuisine, dining experience, etc--see what catches your eye.

Some of our personal favorites are Garden Grill, Boma, San Angel Inn, Crystal Palace, California Grill...just to name a few!

    Good luck!
