We are booked at the Grand Floridian for 5 days/4 nites and have 5-day hopper passes. Is it a waste of transportation time to hop around to different parks in one day or is our time better maximized spending an entire day/evening at the same park?

Since your trip is on the shorter side, Amy, I would recommend sticking to one park per day.  Time spent waiting on the bus to get from one place to another, in addition to the actual travel time, can quickly eat into your vacation.  My advice would be to map out an itinerary that focuses on one park per day.  Schedule your dining reservations around that itinerary and you'll end up maximizing your time in the theme parks.    Enjoy your trip!

Given your inclination to plan a magical trip, I can already tell we have a lot in common. I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists. Let's work together to plan a downright dreamy vacation for your family! Learn More About Darcie
