Hiya Somer,
Welcome to planDisney! Thank you so much for bringing your question to us; we really appreciate it!
I’m sorry to hear that you were unable to get a cabana rental for your resort,
Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel and Spa. While many Guests visit Disneyland Resort for the attractions and the yummy treats (no one does a Churro better), I always say the best way to have the most wonderful visit to Disneyland Resort is to stay at a resort hotel. They keep you steps away from the magic and have the most incredible amenities, including pools. Due to their popularity,
cabana rentals tend to book quickly. Unfortunately, even though you were able to secure a cabana for
Disneyland Hotel, the pools at each individual resort are only for Guests of that resort hotel. Essentially, you will not be able to use your cabana unless you are a Guest at the Disneyland Hotel. I spoke to a lovely Cast Member, and her advice is for you to cancel your current cabana reservation. As long as you cancel 24 hours in advance, you will not forfeit the full price of the cabana.
I’m sorry for the less than magical news, Somer. If you can, check back closer to your visit to see if any cabana availability open ups for Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel. Other Guests may cancel their reservations if something comes up, and you may be able to get a cabana in the days leading up to your visit.
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
