We are booked at GF in Feb for the Princess Half. It's our 1st Half, our 15th Anniversary and our 1st stay at GF so I'm thinking of surprising my husband with a Club Level room. Is it worth the money for an extra special trip for 2 adults and no kids?

    Welcome back, Glory!

What an enchanted list of events you have! I can't think of a better way to commemorate than to be running your first half marathon during the Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend.

I've had the opportunity to experience Disney's Club Level service many times, and most of them have been during a runDisney race weekend. If it's within your budget, I recommend staying Club Level. Access to the Concierge Lounge makes race morning so much more enjoyable. The ability to bring anything you may need back to your room is priceless! The lounge was also very convenient post-race as we were able to grab a few things to take back to our room while we relaxed, refueled and recovered. And the Cast Members were incredible! I'll never forget the cheers of staff at Disney's Beach Club Resort when I stepped into the Stone Harbor Club donning my Dopey Challenge Medal. They really made me feel special.

The one piece of advice I'd like to give you if you choose Club Level Service at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, is to check with the Concierge Cast Members on what their plans are for the lounge on race morning. I have found where there is a bit of inconsistency between the resorts as to whether or not they will open early race morning. If they will not be opening early, you will know to gather everything you need the day before the half.

Another thing to remember is Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa offers two Club Level experiences. The Sugar Loaf Club is located in an outer building and does offer its own lounge. The Royal Palm Club is located on the upper floors of the main building. While both are amazing, the Royal Palm Club is the more "Grand" of the two options.

I hope this helps, Glory! Please let me know if you have any additional questions. I am here to help you plan a runDisney-cation fit for royalty.
