    I have booked a full package holiday for December 2026, flight, hotel, park tickets. One of the party members will be changing their surname by deed poll. What is needed to change details for holiday.

    Hi Ben. Thanks for stopping by planDisney today with a question about your 2026 trip to Walt Disney World.

    December is such a great time of year to visit and I honestly can't think of anywhere better to get into the Christmas spirit! Depending on the dates of your trip, you just might be able to attend one of my absolute favourite Special Events - Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, during your stay. To give you a heads up, based on this year's announcement, you can expect the dates for the 2026 parties to be published on the Disney Parks Blog, in early July 2026. 

    Right, going back to your question, if you made your booking with the Walt Disney Travel Company, via the UK version of the Walt Disney World website, you will need to contact them directly in order to discuss the need to amend the passenger details for one member of your travel party. 

    When booking a Flight Package, the First and Middle Names, Surname and Date of Birth must be provided for each passenger and this must match the details as shown on their passport.

    So, if one member of your travel party is going through the process of changing their name by deed poll, you will likely need to amend the passenger details which were entered at the time of booking, to reflect the name change and ensure that the details provided match those shown on their passport, at the time of travel.

    The lead passenger on your existing booking will be able to make changes to the reservation by calling the Walt Disney Travel Company's Disney Experts on freephone 0800 169 0730, quoting the booking reference. Their opening times are:-

    Monday - Friday 9am-8pm
    Saturday 9am-7pm
    Sunday 10am-6pm

    As booking terms and conditions vary, if you happened to make your existing booking through a third party travel agent, you will need to contact them directly, with your question. Their contact information should be found on your booking confirmation.
