Hi, Kemely!
Welcome to
planDisney, and thanks so much for asking us a question. My family once spent a memorable Independence Day at the
Disneyland Resort, and we had such fun celebrating the birth of the United States at The Happiest Place on Earth! There were special decorations and a fireworks show set to patriotic music.
The theme parks, especially
Disneyland Park, are usually very busy on the 4th of July, and Guests often start staking out their spot to view the fireworks show on Main Street, U.S.A. several hours in advance. Both theme parks are always subject to capacity limits, so if being in Disneyland Park to view fireworks is your priority, I suggest entering as soon as possible and not exiting until you’re ready to retire for the evening as crowds are sure to become heavier as the day goes on.
Generally speaking,
theme park tickets can be purchased and theme park reservations made up to 180 days in advance, which is why Guests who check the website now will only see available dates through late June at this time. Most standard tickets are not blocked out on holidays, but it is possible for theme park reservations to become unavailable if the resort reaches capacity for a given day. That said, it’s recommended that Guests who are traveling from Australia use a travel agent to purchase tickets for the Disneyland Resort theme parks and book their
hotel reservations. Do you already have a travel agent in your area to contact? If not, I suggest reaching out to friends or family for trusted recommendations or doing some research online to find one. An agent can assist you with booking all the elements of your vacation and also answer specific questions you may have.
I hope this helps you make plans, Kemely, and that you have a perfectly pixie-dusted vacation in 2025! Please write back with more questions as your trip approaches.
Wishing you magic,
Courtney
