Just booked flag cabin on Disney Dream is it true that they have made the flag smaller so it doesn't block the view

    Ahoy, Laverne!

Though I've answered many a question about staterooms on the Disney ships, I'll admit I had to do some research about the "flag cabin"! The "flag cabin" is a stateroom on the Disney Dream that used to have the view blocked by a large flag that was required by law to be flown when in port. I've seen pictures and video of what the view looked like, and I can imagine that guests would be disappointed to see nothing but a flag from their verandah!

From what I hear, the large flag has been replaced with a smaller one that no longer completely blocks the view from this particular stateroom. I've also read trip reports that said the balcony was awesome and a bit larger than others, so the flag didn't bother them one bit! (It's only flown on port days, and not on "at sea" days).

I hope you'll be happy with your choice of staterooms, and you enjoy your time on the beautiful Disney Dream! - Diane W.
