We have booked our very first vacation to WDW for the week of 5/21/11. We really would like to watch the fireworks over the Magic Kingdom. Could you send suggestions on the time and place to be to view this awesome sight? Thank you for everything you do!!

    Hello Kelly,

Your first trip to Disney World is fast approaching...can you believe it?

I won't lie. I cry at the end of Wishes Nighttime Spectacular each and every time. It's so magical!

The fireworks show can take place at a different time each night, usually around 9 or 10 p.m.  So you'll want to pick up a Times Guide when you arrive to check on its start time.

One of the most popular spots to watch Wishes - and perhaps one of my personal favorites - is directly in front of Cinderella's Castle by the statue with Walt Disney and Mickey Mouse. You can't miss it. It's a fantastic view because it's unobstructed. But be warned, this area tends to get crowded. So you'll want to stake out a spot at least a half hour before the show.

If in front of the Castle is crazy with people, my family likes standing right on Main Street U.S.A. You can't go wrong watching from there either!

    Hope this helps!

Meet the Panelist: Monina, Ohio

My family loves our Main Street in Ohio. But there's simply no comparison to Main Street U.S.A.! We don't get to Disney quite as often as I'd like, but that just means finding new ways to sprinkle Pixie Dust on our adventures! Learn More About Monina
