I just booked our first trip to WDW for the last week of Dec 2011. I want to book our character dining but don't want the reservations to interfere with other events that will be going on i.e. parades, fireworks, etc. How can I get a schudule of events?

    Hi Carisa!

I love it when people realize that they have to work around the special events....good thinking!

The parade and fireworks schedule can be found on www.waltdisneyworld.com.  There is a tab at the top of your main page that says PARKS.  Click on that to get a drop down box.  There you can pick the Park you are interested in.  When you select your Park and are on its main page, look for the Calendar tab on the left side of your screen.  Click on that and it will take you to a monthly calendar.  You can adjust your month under the "View Month" box at the top right hand side of your calendar.  At that point all you have to do is to click on a specific day and it will list the times of all parades, fireworks, and any special event that is going on in that Park on that day.

Also, make sure you pick up a schedule sheet when you enter the Park.  You can find them  where the Park maps are held.  They list all of the times of the parades, fireworks, and any special events that are being held that specific day.

I hope you have a wonderful time!
