Hi April,
You have come to the right place for Walt Disney World vacation planning advice!
If you are flying into Orlando International Airport, have your travel
agent sign you up for the complimentary Magical Express Transportation
Service. Once you arrive at your Disney resort, spend some time
exploring the amenities there. Then spend the remainder of your first
evening dining with Mickey at Chef Mickey's, shopping at Downtown
Disney, or taking in some fireworks at the Magic Kingdom.
Plan to spend one full day at each of Disney's four major theme parks.
Choose which day you will visit each park by the availability of Extra
Magic Hours. These are special times when the parks are reserved
exclusively for Disney resort guests. It's a great time to enjoy the
theme park's most popular attractions with reduced wait times.
Plan to spend your third or fourth day at Disney resting. Sleep
in and then enjoy some pool time at your resort. This will help you
recharge your batteries for the remaining days of your trip.
Reserve at least one
character dining experience
during your stay. Since you will be traveling in May, you can call
(407) WDW-DINE now to book a table. Bring your camera and an autograph
book for your little girl to this event. Kids generally love to get
autographs from the Disney characters at these meals. Let us know if
you need any dining recommendations.
If there are any other questions we could answer for you, don't hesitate
to post them to the Moms Panel site. We'd even be happy to map out an
itinerary for you if you so desire. Just let us know what kind of
guidance you need and we'll do our best to assist you.
Best wishes for a truly magical vacation this May!
Jill
