Booked my first stay at Boulder Ridge Villas in September 2021. How far are these villas from the main dining areas at WL? Also, are refillable mugs currently available and where is the closest refill station to the villas? Thanks.

Hi there Brittany! It's great to see you again at planDisney. I'm so excited to hEAR that you'll be enjoying the beauty and tranquility of Boulder Ridge Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge on your upcoming vacation.

First, let's talk about location. The Boulder Ridge Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge are situated adjacent to the main building of Disney's Wilderness Lodge; their location is especially convenient to the resort's gift shop and bus stop. Even the most remote villas will not be more than a five to ten-minute stroll from the main building. My family and I have stayed at nearly every Disney Vacation Club Resort, and we find this one to be quite compact and easy to navigate.

If you are a Disney Vacation Club Member, you can contact Member Services to add a room request to your reservation, or you can make these requests on My Disney Experience during online check-in. While requests are not guaranteed, I have found that Cast Members do their best to meet Guests' needs. We like to request first floor villas on our vacations to shorten our "commutes" by avoiding stairs and elevators. You might see choices like "Close to Lobby" or "Near Transportation" during online check-in. Both of these selections would put you close to the main building where you'll find quick-service and table-service dining

Refillable mugs are indeed part of our world, and a friendly Cast Member will be happy to fill them with your beverage of choice at Roaring Fork, just a few steps down from the lobby, or at Geyser Point Bar & Grill near the Copper Creek Springs Pool. Geyser Point Bar & Grill is one of Walt Disney World's hidden gems for casual, waterside dining, and I recommend stopping by at least once during your stay. The food and drinks are fantastic, and the views of Bay Lake are spectacular. On a recent visit, my family and I returned from the theme parks to have lunch here each day of our vacation. The Grilled Portobello Salad is a hearty, vegetarian offering that can be "beefed up" for carnivores. My little ones enjoy the waffle fries, and my husband's favorite dish here is the Bison Cheeseburger.

I know you will have a wonderful vacation this fall, Brittany. Disney's Wilderness Lodge is one of the most picturesque and serene resorts in Walt Disney World, and you'll be just a stone's throw away from the Magic Kingdom Park as it prepares to celebrate it's 50th anniversary on October 1st of this year. Stay tuned to the Disney Parks Blog for exciting news regarding this very merry birthday. I can't wait to experience the magical celebration! If there is anything else we can do as your adventure approaches, come see us again. We're all ears!
