Hi, we just booked our first family vacation to WDW for May. I have 2 boys who will be 7 & 5. In planning our dining reservations, can you please recommend must go to places for our first trip? We got a 6-day pass and plan to attend all 4 parks.

    Hi Sherri,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am delighted to greet you again to help you plan the most awesome first trip!

My family treats dining experiences as important as Fast Pass+ selections. We always make advanced dining reservations. Some of our favorite character meals are Chef Mickey's, Hollywood & Vine, The Crystal Palace and Tusker House Restaurant. We also adore Be Our Guest Restaurant (the Beast greets guests at dinner) and 'Ohana for dinner during the Happily Ever After fireworks. Epcot has a number of outstanding restaurants, so take a few minutes to review the possibilities and decide based on your family's preferences. We always dine at our resort hotel when possible. Your boys might also enjoy T-REX ™ at Disney Springs - the dinosaurs are awesome! Also, try Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant at Disney's Hollywood Studios. It feels like a drive-in movie theater and the milk shakes are AMAZING!

Consider making a few pre-park opening dining reservations. We love to do these at 8:00 a.m. at Be Our Guest in Magic Kingdom - if we pre-order our food, we are out by 8:45 a.m. and in the standby line for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. Also, make a Fast Pass+ for this ride! We also do pre-park opening dining reservations at Tusker House Restaurant in Magic Kingdom and then jump in the standby line for Kilimanjaro Safaris. We only do pre-park opening dining reservations on days when the park we plan to visit does not have early morning Extra Magic Hours. If you do pre-park opening dining reservations, be sure to know your transportation option to get to the park early and, when you arrive, there will be a line designated for guests with pre-park opening dining reservations. Find that line!

Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
