We have booked our first Disney trip for the week of Easter 2016. I have a large family 3 girls ages 13,6, &5 and 3 boys ages 11, 10 & 8. My mother in law will be traveling with us as well. Are there any suggestions to help keep everyone happy?

    Hello, Lily!

I am SO incredibly excited about your VERY FIRST Walt Disney World vacation! I have five kids, so I totally understand trying to keep everyone happy at Walt Disney World!  Here are a few suggestions we always do to ensure our family has an unforgettable time!!

    1. Get your family involved in the planning!  Several months before our trip, we have a Disney night where my kids are assigned a specific day of the vacation.  From there, each child is able to choose which FastPass+ Experience they want the family to ride and what restaurant they want our family to enjoy that day. (Please NOTE: FastPass+ is a complimentary service where you secure your arrival times in advance so you don't have to stand in line for the most popular attractions!)

    2.  It's OK to split up!  Throughout our vacation, there are several times that we split up our family in order to ride more thrill rides or meet a princess.  We typically do this in the afternoon, and then we meet up for dinner.

    3. Get to the Disney theme parks early!  You will be tempted to sleep in every morning. However, you will miss a two hour window where the parks are not that crowed. Easter can be a busy time, so you must use your time wisely to maximize your time at the parks.

    4.  Make sure you REST!  As you know, your kids are not fun when they are cranky! (Adults aren't fun either!)  It is completely OK to go back to the resort during the afternoon to rest or swim. I promise!

I hope this helps you in your planning!  If you have other questions, please let us know!

    Have a MAGICAL day!
