we have just booked our first Disney trip with our family. We have 5 kids with our oldest 16 and our youngest 6. We have the quick service meal plan. can we tade meals to book a character meal?

    Hi Mary,

I can certainly understand your desire to attend a character meal with your children during your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation.  These dining experiences are incredible fun and provide a wonderful opportunity to get photographs with the characters.  Unfortunately, you cannot use quick service credits to pay for a table service meal while using the Disney Dining Plan.  You would have to pay out-of-pocket for this type of meal.

However, I can suggest the least expensive way to accomplish this objective; make reservations for breakfast!  Breakfasts at places like Chef Mickey's and the Crystal Palace are much less expensive than meals later in the day.  Nonetheless, the character interaction is exactly the same.  Therefore, I highly recommend you call (407) WDW-DINE to make reservations for breakfast at one of these delightful restaurants.  You can call up to 180 days in advance of your visit.

Sending you pixie dust for a truly magical vacation with your children!
