I have booked our first Disney trip for December 23-29. I'm so nervous about the crowds I am considering changing it to the last week of May into June. I wanted some thoughts on that. Thank you!

Welcome Carrie! Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
December is a wonderful time of the year to visit the Walt Disney World Resort. Holiday Season decoration brings an extra charm to Disney Theme Parks and Resort Hotels. But you are right, parks tend to be very crowded, especially between Christmas week and New Year’s Eve.
If it was my choice, and I had the opportunity to plan my vacation for a different period, I would do it. May is a good month to be vacationing in Florida. It is almost summer time, already warm in Orlando, you will be able to include Disney Water Parks to your vacation, enjoy your resort swimming pools and outdoor activities. Parks start to get busier, but nothing compared to the crowds you will find there during late December.
If you are looking for detailed information regarding crowd calendars, I suggest you visit easywdw.com or touringplans.com. Their calendars are very useful.
Hope this helps your planning. Let us know if you have any additional questions.
    Have a magical day!
