Hi there, Erin!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Wahoo! You are going on a Disney Cruise Line vacation! You are going to have the best time and make some of the most magical memories that will undoubtedly last a lifetime! I am so very excited for you and hope this is just the first of many adventures with Captain Mickey!
One of my favorite things – and I think one of the most unique things – about Disney Cruise Line is the
rotational dining system. Having your schedule made for you takes away all the planning and guesswork from you AND you are guaranteed the opportunity to experience each of the main dining rooms and their exclusive menus! With two seating times AND two evening entertainment performances, Guests get to do both without having to choose! But, yes…the later dining time can be problematic if you are traveling with little Mouseketeers…or if you just prefer to dine earlier! Honestly, there have been NUMEROUS times that my family has booked our voyage and initially been assigned second seating…and we have yet to NOT get moved to main dining! So, from my experience, I think there is a pretty strong chance you will get some pixie dust sprinkled your way and removed from the wait list! Keep checking your reservation on your
“My Reservations” account as you might not always be notified of the change! If you don’t see any change, you can always check back with Disney Cruise Line by contacting them at (800) 951-3532 as your voyage approaches to confirm that you are still on the wait list! This just reminds them that you are still hoping for that change once they start making adjustments! And, worse case – there will be a dedicated spot onboard on embarkation day where you can stop by to make changes if need be!
I have found that Disney Cruise Line will really do whatever they can to make your adventure as magical for you and will make as many accommodations as possible to ensure you have a memorable voyage! Sending pixie dust your way!
Happy Sailing!
Stephanie
