I just booked my first Disney cruise for next year for a 3 night Bahamian cruise. I added the red eye flights to my reservation but now I'm wondering if I did the right thing or if I should look for my own flights?

    Hi again, Kimberly -

Booking your airline reservations with your Disney Cruise Line stateroom reservation is quite convenient isn't it? If you can have a professional handle all your travel reservations for you and your family of travelers, that's a great advantage. The nice thing with booking airfare and ground transportation through Disney, is that you can also participate in the Onboard Airline Check-In Service. Your luggage tags with instructions will be sent to you prior, so that your luggage can go straight from your departure airport all the way to your stateroom on embarkation day.  Since you are arriving the morning of embarkation, this means you won't have to lug around any luggage with you on your way to the port. You will just need to remember to bring a day bag with your essentials like medications, sunblock or a swimsuit.

On the way home, your check-in luggage can be packed up the evening before disembarkation for porter pick up. With this service, you'll be given your check in luggage tags while still onboard to attach to your check-in baggage. Once the porters take your luggage, these will go straight to your airport destination and you just pick it up at baggage claim. Make sure you check the Personal Navigator for the most current onboard instructions for luggage pickup and any other instructions when it is time to go home. Traveling all the way back to California is an extra long flight for us... having a leisurely vacation makes a big difference.

    Happy planning, Kimberly!
