Hi. Just booked our first cruise. We are sailing in Sept.next year on The Dream. Our stateroom is on the 10th deck. How rough is it going to be and how loud will it be with the pool up above? Thanks

    Hi Robert,

Congratulations on booking a voyage on the Dream!  Since this ship won't be setting sail until January 2011, I'll have to use my experiences from our cabins on deck 8 (the deck below the pools) on the Disney Wonder.  Honestly, I recall hearing deck noise early in the morning as deck chairs were rearranged, but nothing that prevented me from reserving a stateroom on that deck for a future cruise.  I really enjoyed the higher deck, and the quick access I had to the pool deck and the beverage station.

As for the roughness, unfortunately this is something we just can't predict.  If the seas are rough, there isn't any place onboard that will be immune to the motion.  If you are feeling bothered by the motion I suggest going to an open deck in a mid-ship location and gaze at the distant horizon.  The fresh air works wonders, and by avoiding focusing on the waters in close proximity to the ship you may start to feel the nausea subside.

    Have a great time!
