Welcome aboard, Elizabeth!
How exciting to hear that you'll soon be sailing the high seas with Captain Mickey and his crew! There's tons of things to look forward to when sailing on the Disney Cruise. Top notch family friendly entertainment and activities are bountiful, and the world class dining and accommodations are absolutely phenomenal. You will definitely have a grand time with your own crew.
You will have 2 choices for dinner seating and I've seen either work well, depending on the family's schedule. The 6pm main seating tends to have more little ones in the restaurant since they have earlier bed time schedules. If you choose the main dining schedule, you'll be watching the Broadway-style shows afterwards (around 8pm). My family prefers the late dinner seating (at 8pm) so that we can all watch the early show first at 6pm. Either way, you do not miss the show since it is scheduled twice each night to accommodate all the guests. There's always a place to eat at on the Disney Cruise. Just in case you miss out on your dinner schedule - you have 24-hour room service, and throughout the day, the quick service food counters by the pool deck are open.
For Nassau Port Adventures, here are a couple you might want to check out. If you are looking to see Nassau's city center along with a leisurely walking adventure, you might want to check out the
Ardastra Gardens & City tour. If you prefer spending time at the Beach, then you can check out the
Atlantis Beach Day & Discover Atlantis port adventure. You can at least get a chance to see Nassau, especially if this is the 1st time you are visiting. Hope this helps!
Bon voyage!
