Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Lisa!
Walt Disney World Resort’s fireworks spectaculars are breathtaking and moving every day of the year, but they are
truly spectacular during the holidays. I’m so excited to hear you’ve made a dessert party reservation so you can enjoy them with a great view and a tummy full of treats!
On December 31, 2019, the
Park Hours for
Magic Kingdom Park list the
Fantasy in the Sky fireworks display showing twice: once at 6:30 p.m. and once more at 11:50 p.m. Since you’ve reserved the
Fireworks Dessert Party with Plaza Garden Viewing at 5:00 p.m., this means you’ll be able to watch the 6:30 p.m. Fantasy in the Sky fireworks from the Plaza Garden viewing area. A 5:00 p.m. check-in time means that you can arrive at
Tomorrowland Terrace Restaurant at that time, where you'll find a spread of savory appetizers, sweet treats, and sparkling beverages to enjoy. One thing I love is that the buffet items often have fun names or are themed to the event, holiday, or a Disney character. It always brings a smile to my face! Once you've enjoyed all the treats you'd like, you'll be able to head out to the reserved viewing area to find your spot for the 6:30 p.m. fireworks, and then you can relax and take in the gorgeous display. I think you'll love this special way to celebrate.
Lisa, I do recommend calling (407) WDW-DINE if you have questions about your reservation or want to confirm these details, as your friendly Moms Panelists can’t verify what you actually reserved, so I’m only doing detective work based on the date and time.
Since you’ll be
ringing in the new year at Walt Disney World Resort, you might enjoy this
Disney Parks Blog article about other New Year’s celebrations around the resorts. I can’t think of a place I’d rather ring in 2020 (a new year
and a new decade means twice to celebrate, right?) than The Most Magical Place on Earth, and I hope you have a sensational celebration and make so many wonderful memories.
ChEARs to 2020!
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
