We're booked on the Fantasy for Oct 2013, our concern is whether to cancel and book for 2014 so our kids are older and can do more things. Our son will be 34months old and our girl 9months old? Would they benefit more if we waited another year?

    Hi Melvyn,

I can go with the "SURE, go ahead and take them on the cruise", but I'm not going to.  As a mom who has to plan WAY ahead of time to pay for a Disney cruise, I'm going to tell you that if the trip is for the kids, wait another year.  They would be too young for the youth clubs, and that's the best part for the kids.

If the trip is for you as a couple, then it changes my perspective.  I would definitely go.  The kids will be well taken care of and entertained in the ship's nursery.  You'll have time to enjoy the ship as a couple and relax...maybe even nap!  With kids that age I know you are exhausted:)  I love Disney Cruise Line specifically because it gives my husband and I a chance to have our own vacation mixed with a family vacation.   It's guilt free too....the kids don't want to hang out with us either!

You'll have to decide what you want this vacation to be for you.  I hope this helps.  Please let me know if I can answer anything else for you.  Thanks for visiting the Moms Panel.

Magic Kingdom still takes my breath away, but my favorite place to be is on a Disney ship looking at the horizon and breathing in that crisp, clean ocean air!  I love planning Disney vacations for others and making sure it's more than they dreamed. Learn More About Marisol
