Greetings, Charlene!
I'm thrilled to hear you have an adventure at sea planned in November. Whether this is an encore performance or your very first time screening of a Disney cruise, the
Disney Fantasy will be the perfect stage for your family vacation. Get ready to walk the red carpet onboard the ship and to be royally entertained because from that moment forward, you and your family will be the stars of the show!
Having a behind the scenes tour of the
Walt Disney Theatre and learning all about those live shows would be an amazing experience to be sure. Unfortunately, this is not an activity offered onboard right now, and it’s doubtful it would be available under the current health and safety protocols. But I can tell you a little bit about the tours of the ships that ARE available at this moment.
The first one is called the Art of the Theme Show Tour, and it’s one that I strongly recommend. It’s a fabulous way to learn more about Disney Cruise Line and the particular ship you are sailing. For adults 18 and up, this tour shares insight into the design and artistic details of the ship. On our Art of the Theme Ship tour, we learned the meaning behind the naming of the restaurant
Palo, how the carpet can provide clues as to where you are on the ship, and where the color "Monica Blue" can be found. Hopefully this has piqued your curiosity about this tour so that you want to experience it and learn all kinds of fascinating facts on your next sailing.
Meanwhile, Guests of all ages can participate in a Walking Ship Tour. This one is especially useful when we are new to a Disney ship. It has proved to be extremely helpful in giving our family a sense of the ship, allowing us to get our bearings and quickly acclimate to where everything was located.
These informative tours are available on all Captain Minnie’s ships and do not require a reservation. Check the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app for the dates and times that these tours are offered.
Well, it’s not exactly the stage tour you were hoping for, but perhaps one of these tours will give you an overview of your ship and a deeper appreciation of all the thoughtful imagineering that goes into Disney Cruise Line. Charlene, please create a sequel and come back to planDisney if you have more questions.
Bon Voyage!
Sherry
