Hello all, I have booked my family vacation to Disney for April 19-26. What can I expect for crowd levels and weather? Will it be warm enough for shorts and the water parks?

    Angela:

Our family visited Disney over the Easter Weekend last year and wore shorts during the day and were comfortable in slacks and warmups at night.  I only needed a jacket when we were on the pier viewing the Water Pageant on Seven Seas Lagoon.  Keep an eye on the forecast, though.  You never know when a cool snap might come!

We also decided to avoid the crowds and spent most of our time at the Water Parks.  We were comfortable walking around in our bathing suits--well, comfortable as in weather and not freezing....I don't think I'll ever be "comfortable" hanging out in a bathing suit!

As for the crowds, the biggest ones will be the week between Palm Sunday and Easter when many school systems across the U.S. have Spring Break.  But by the time you arrive, the week after Easter, you should see the crowds begin to decline.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
