I have booked a family vacation at Coronado Springs for this June. We have two preferred rooms and I'm wondering what the difference is between that and a standard room. Also, are they only housed in certain sections of the resort?

Hi Laurie! I really enjoy the Coronado Springs resort at Disney. It is large but it offers many things that the other moderates don't offer since it is also a conference center facility.

I would keep the preferred rooms that you have booked. These will be rooms that are in buildings a bit closer to the main areas of the resort. I like to be in close proximity to the lobby building which is also home to the store and main transportation depot. Standard rooms will be in buildings that are further out and those will want to use the internal buses to get back to the front of the resort.
