Merry Christmas, Sharon! It’s the Most Magical Place on Earth during the most wonderful time of the year, so, “YES!” there is going to be so much for you to enjoy! All the Walt Disney World Resort hotels and theme parks are beautifully decorated for the season! You’ll hear Christmas music just about everywhere you go!
Over at Magic Kingdom Park, Guests can typically expect to experience Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade and Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks Show! While these events occur as part of the special-ticketed "Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party" (from November 9 through December 22) they usually become part of the regular operating hours programming beginning on December 23 through late December!
EPCOT is always perfect for the holiday season! This park offers the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays! The hallmark event is the
Candlelight Processional which takes place each evening at the American Adventure Pavilion. The show is included in your regular admission price. However, due to the popularity of the show, it is very important that you arrive well in advance of the starting time! The event includes a celebrity narrator who shares the story of Christ’s birth set to beautiful music including a choir and orchestra performing some of the most treasured music of Christmastime. It is an amazing performance! There are typically Candlelight Processional dining packages offered as well. These combine a dining reservation with reserved seating for the show.
Over at
Disney Springs, Guests can enjoy Christmas shopping, of course, but also the Christmas Tree Trail. This includes beautifully decorated trees all themed to different Disney characters, resorts, attractions, movies, and shows! It is one of my favorite things to enjoy when visiting at Christmastime!
Sharon, the information that I am providing to you is based on many previous years of visiting the Walt Disney World Resort! Plans are still being finalized for what to expect, but based upon a pattern from previous years, all these events are likely to take place when you visit from December 23 through December 29. Continue to check the Walt Disney World Resort website for additional details as we get closer to the holidays!
I also included a great video link in this answer that provides details on some of the other special activities that can be done at the Walt Disney World Resort around the holidays! Enjoy!
Happy Planning!
