Hi have booked for my family in for dinner at be our guest my youngest daughter is two years old do I make her a reservation or do I just bring her along

Hello there, Emma! Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.

I am excited to know that you've been able to grab an advance dining reservation for Be Our Guest Restaurant. It's a wonderful meal that is so popular it can be a hard one to reserve. I think you'll be happy to know that children under the age of 3 can dine for free at Walt Disney World. They do need to be included on the reservation headcount, however. Restaurants can only accommodate so many bodies, no matter how young or old, per Florida State law. By including your 2 year old in the reservation numbers it will help the restaurant better prepare for your arrival. At Be Our Guest Restaurant your 2 year old will be able to plate share with anyone that you'd like. If you wish to order your child something of their own, only then will you have to pay. If you are dining at all-you-care-to-enjoy restaurants, you are able to make her as many plates as her little stomach can hold.

If you haven't already, I suggest downloading and reading the Planning Guide for Parents of Preschoolers. It is so helpful when planning a trip with little ones. The guide breaks down appropriate attractions park by park and even has a fun playlist to download to get your daughter excited for what's to come.

I hope this helps. If you have any other questions, please feel free to come back and ask.

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
