Hi Kerri!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am so excited to hEAR you are heading to the high seas on the beautiful Disney Magic. It will be here before you know it and I am sure you are eagerly anticipating all the fun and adventure that awaits you.
On your seven-night Disney Cruise Line vacation you can expect to have one formal night, one Pirate Night and one additional and optional “dress up night” which is more of a semi-formal night. I checked with my friends at Disney Cruise Line and for your specific itinerary, your formal night is scheduled for your second night onboard and your Pirate Night is on night six. Ooh,
Pirate Night is so much fun! We love dressing up as swashbuckling pirates ready to fend off any enemy pirates that may try to board our Disney ship! The fun activities last throughout the evening and are complete with a fantastic firework show that is not to be missed!
While we certainly do love dining in the main dining rooms with our littles, a date night at Palo is something my husband and I always look forward to during our time at sea. From the delicious Italian cuisine (and chocolate souffle) to the top-notch service, it’s not to be missed. But, since we also enjoy the onboard dining experiences and don’t want our boys to miss out, we have started making our Palo reservation for a little bit later and take our boys to the main dining room for dinner before dropping them off at the Youth Clubs. My husband and I just forgo dinner (well, I do…sometimes he opts for an appetizer) at the main restaurant and head up to Palo afterwards for our 7:15PM dinner reservation.
Have the most MAGICal of adventures at sea and have a chocolate souffle for me!
Happy Sailing!
Stephanie
