We're booked on our 1st ever cruise this April on the Disney Dream. One worry that I have is: what are the railings like in the public spaces & on the private verandas? We are traveling w/ our 3 sons but I'm most concerned about our 1 1/2 year old. Tha

    Ahoy Jill!

Welcome to the Moms Panel and congratulations on your upcoming cruise on the spectacular Disney Dream!  April will be here soon, and your vacation dreams will become a reality!  I hope you are ready to set sail with Captain Mickey and his crew!

On my first cruise, I was also worried about my eighteen month old climber!  Once onboard, any anxiety I had was put to rest when I saw the railings.  The balconies have clear plexiglass that comes above the waist of an adult.  The child-proof locks on the sliding glass door will keep your little sailors off the verandah, but if you would like, your stateroom host or hostess can remove the furniture.

On the public decks, the clear plexiglass is also above the waist or completely enclosed.  I think you will find that your little one will be very safe while navigating around the ship!

I hope my answer helps ease your concern.  As you make your final plans for your first voyage, please let me know if you have any other questions!

Have a magical day and Bon Voyage!
