we have booked epicot on wed april 7 and magic on thurs april 8. we wanted to stay in a disney hotel for night of april 7. epicot opens at 11 am so we would want to check into room before this as have meds that cannot stay in hot car.

Hi there Richard, and welcome to planDisney. Thanks for sending such a great question. I'm happy to assist you today.

What a fantastic idea to book a stay in the Disney Resorts Collection; you won't be disappointed! Since your adventures will take you to my favorite theme park, EPCOT, I recommend a resort located along the Disney Skyliner like Disney's Riviera Resort, Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, or Disney's Pop Century Resort

Be sure to complete online check-in, mark your arrival as early as possible, and avoid making room requests if possible; this will maximize the chances of your room being ready early. Although check-in is officially 3 PM, I have occasionally received room-ready alerts hours before that time. Should you arrive before gaining access to your room, stop by Bell Services or the front desk and speak with a Cast Member about holding your luggage while you enjoy EPCOT that day. They will ensure that your temperature-sensitive medications are properly stored. When splitting our stays between two Disney Vacation Club resorts, we have had refrigerated items transferred from one resort to another without a problem. Hakuna Matata!

I hope this puts your mind at ease as you count down the last few weeks until the magic begins. While you wait, check out the latest posts from the Disney Parks Blog and follow planDisney on social media. You'll find helpful advice and real-time reports from the theme parks and resorts. Thanks again for stopping by, and we'll see ya real soon!
