Hiya Sheila,
Welcome back to planDisney! It means so much that you continue to come back and see us! Now let’s chat about one of my greatest passions dining at Walt Disney World Resort. On my most recent visit to Walt Disney World Resort, I had the pleasure to enjoy dinner at
California Grill, and the special 50th Anniversary menu is beyond incredible. The EARidescent Grand Marnier Crème Brulee is the stuff of dreams, and we are still trying to replicate the House-made Artisanal-style Duck A L’Orange Pizza because it was so good. On top of that, the 15th-floor observation deck of Disney’s Contemporary Resort is my new favorite place to watch
Disney’s Enchantment from.
To answer your question, in my experience, yes, you can come to California Grill and view Disney’s Enchantment before your dinner reservation. Just head to the California Grill podium on the 2nd floor around 15-30 minutes before the showtime and let the Cast Member know that you have a dining reservation and would like to watch the show from the observation deck. They should be able to escort you to the special elevator and let you view the show before your reservation. One little tip for you, bring a light jacket. It can get a little chilly up there in the summer nights so having a light jacket can be a welcome gift. After the show, if you have a little time still before your reservation and don't want to depart Disney's Contemporary yet, check out
Outer Rim and enjoy a lovely cocktail while you wait to dine.
I hope I have answered your question, Sheila. If there is anything else we can do to help, please come back and see us!
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
