Ahoy, Robert!
Welcome aboard the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Your question has me smiling from ear to ear! My husband and I took our honeymoon on an Eastbound Transatlantic Cruise aboard the Disney Magic and had the time of our lives! Before our honeymoon, we had never set sail for longer than seven nights. Once our honeymoon concluded, we were hooked on the longer voyages! I know you will love the longer cruises, too, and love that the ship will quickly become your home away from home!
You asked a wonderful question! My husband and I brought a few pairs of jeans, a few sweatshirts, as well as each bringing a windbreaker-type jacket to combat the chilly weather while crossing the Atlantic Ocean. One of the things we loved about this chillier cruise is that Disney Cruise Line supplied warm blankets and hot chocolate for Guests on the pool deck! It was so fun snuggling up with my husband under a blanket with our hot chocolate while watching a movie under the stars on Funnel Vision! When you begin packing for your upcoming cruise, definitely check out the
Packing List for Disney Cruises. It will have great ideas for what to pack during your transatlantic voyage.
Robert, I'd like to take a moment and share something else about our transatlantic cruise. The motion of the ocean was very noticeable while sailing across the Atlantic Ocean. We've sailed on a number of cruises since, and we haven't felt the swells from the ocean like we did during our honeymoon cruise. If you or anyone traveling with you has challenges with motion sickness, I recommend bringing Dramamine (or any other medication to prevent motion sickness) along with you. It did not detract from our voyage at all! To this day, my husband and I still laugh about how we were rocked to sleep each night!
Robert, if you have any future questions, please come back and visit us again!
