    We are booked on the Dream--our first ever cruise--with our adult children to celebrate our 40th anniversary. Do we need to rent bikes ahead of time on Castaway Cay?...Can we do that while from the ship? Or is it best to do it before we leave?

    Happy Anniversary!  I'm so happy that you will be able to celebrate your special occasion with your family.  You are all going to love the beautiful Disney Dream.  She is such a magnificent ship!

    When my family sailed on the Dream in March, we rented bicycles on Castaway Cay too. It was an awesome experience.  I highly recommend that you give this a try.  They have a lovely bike path throughout the island, including an incredible look-out post from which you can view the entire island.  It was breath-taking.  Although it probably wasn't necessary, we reserved our bicycles online before we sailed.  We didn't want to leave to chance whether they would have bikes ready for us.  We also found it easier to simply present our pre-paid rental vouchers at the counter than to arrange payment at that time.  You could, however, rent your bikes during your cruise if you prefer.
