We booked our Disneyland Vacation for 12/24-12/28 and we are staying at the Grand Californian. We’ve stayed in the past and received a calendar of hotel events upon arrival. Is there any way to get that calendar in advance to plan our days?

    Hello Jennifer!

What a magical holiday you're going to have! I love that you will be at the Disneyland Resort long enough to enjoy some activities at your hotel. Taking breaks at your hotel is such a great park strategy, especially during busy times like the holidays!

Disney's Grand Californian Hotel and Spa has some incredible recreational activities! You're correct that there are often additional events offered for hotel guests, and given the time you're visiting there may be some seasonal fun happening as well. Since these activities are a little more fluid, they aren't published online in advance. I suggest you try calling the hotel a week or two before your visit to ask if they have a schedule they could share with you.

There are some fun activities that you could schedule in advance! If relaxing is your goal, you might consider renting a poolside cabana to kick back and enjoy the beautiful pools. One of the things at the top of my list to try is a fitness class offered through Tenaya Stone Spa. I really want to do Sunrise Yoga in Disneyland Park! The schedule over the holidays might be a little different, so it's a good idea to call the spa and ask what activities might be available during your stay.

Visiting the Disneyland Resort during the holidays is amazing, but it can also be busy. One of the best perks of staying at a Disneyland Resort is early entry to the theme parks! My very best advice is to get up bright and early and take advantage of early entry to do your favorite attractions first. Then go take a break during the afternoon to catch a resort activity or take a nap before heading back to the parks to enjoy the lights and atmosphere of the holidays.

Enjoy counting down the days until your visit, Jennifer! I'm sending lots of pixie dust for you to have an unforgettable time!

    Keep moving forward!
