Booked Disneyland for next month and I’ve got an ESA letter from Fast ESA Letter. Curious—will my dog be allowed at the Disneyland Resort hotels, or do they only make exceptions for service animals?

Well, hello there, Zion! Welcome to planDisney! It sounds like you're looking forward to a wonderful trip to the Disneyland Resort next month. As a fellow animal enthusiast (I have some beloved pups of my own!), I can absolutely appreciate wanting to share every moment of magic with your four-legged companion. It would be truly amazing to have our furry friends by our sides for all the fun!

I want to provide you with the most accurate information for your upcoming visit. At the Disneyland Resort, only trained service animals are permitted. This means, unfortunately, that emotional support animals are not allowed. You can find more details regarding service animals on the Disneyland website. Similarly, the Hotels of the Disneyland Resort also have a policy allowing only trained service animals, which means emotional support animals cannot accompany guests for their stay. If you have additional questions or would like more information about this, I'd encourage you to reach out to Disneyland Resort Guest Information.

I know this might not be the news you were hoping for, and it’s always tough when our beloved pets can't join us for every adventure. But I have a few ideas that might help brighten your day! While your sweet pup can't join you in the parks or hotels, you can still bring a little bit of Disneyland magic home to them. Many of the shops throughout the Disneyland Resort and Downtown Disney District offer a fantastic array of pet merchandise, including adorable dog toys and even Spirit Jerseys for pets! I bought matching Spirit Jerseys for my own dogs, and we love going on walks in style together!

If you're traveling with your dog, you might consider looking into local pet boarding services or doggy daycares near the Disneyland Resort for the days you plan to visit the parks. There are several options in the Anaheim area that could provide a safe and fun "vacation" for your pup while you're enjoying the theme parks. Planning for their care ahead of time can give you peace of mind so you can fully immerse yourself in the magic.

I hope this information helps you make the best arrangements for your furry friend, Zion, so you can fully enjoy every magical moment of your upcoming trip! If any other questions pop up as you continue planning, remember, we're all ears here at planDisney!
